Crosslinker for polyurethane powder coatings
Description
AHA6640 is a Caprolactam blocked cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate, as a hardener for polyurethane powder coatings. The unblocking temperature >160°C.

Application
AHA6640 is a hardener for OH-terminated polyester to achieve weather-resistant decorative powder coatings with excellent physical properties. (NCO: OH=1:1) is recommended for optimum film properties. Slight undercrosslinking (NCO: OH=0.8:1) is possible depending on the co-reactants used and the film properties required.
Cure cycle: 20mins at 180°C or 10mins at 200°C
Process & Formulations
AHA6640 is added to the binder/pigment blend before extrusion.
