AHA2148

Description

AHA2148 is a wax-free matting hardener suitable for exterior durable TGIC powder coatings capable of providing gloss＜10% @ 60°. Due to carboxyl group-containing it is requested excess TGIC reactive with it together to achieve controllable gloss and excellent gloss stability in varying temperature baking conditions. Additional benefits are excellent performance such as impacts and acceptable surface flow etc.

AHA2148 is recommended as matting hardener used in polyester/TGIC powder coatings

Use level

3- 6% based on total formulation by weight, depending on the gloss required.

AHA2148 contains reactive functional groups so that it is requested to take part in reaction with excess TGIC in formulation. In general, the mix ratios 6.5-7.5/1 by weight of AHA2148 to excess TGIC were recommended.

Curing schedules

15min@180℃ or 10min@ 200℃
