General description
Matting hardener AHA55 is the disalt of 2-phenyl imidazoline with pyromellitic acid. It is used as crosslinker for pure epoxy, epoxy/polyester hybrid based powder coatings to provide coatings with matt finishes, exceptional flow and good mechanical properties.

Application
● Matting hardener for pure epoxy based powder coatings. The matt epoxy powder coatings with gloss ranges from 20 to 30% (60°) can be obtained when AHA55 used as single crosslinker.
● Matting hardener for epoxy/polyester powder coatings. In such coating systems the wide range of gloss is controlled by replacing parts of AHA55 with polyester resins(AV=34±2mgKOH/g).
● Excellent flow and Good mechanical properties.
